Good morning Beloved! Today, I want to talk about thankfulness! In this season especially, we have a great opportunity to express our gratitude for all our blessings! Of course, we can express how grateful we are anytime of the year, but I think that it is just on our minds even more around the Thanksgiving holiday. I also wanted to share my fall decorations with you before it’s time to put up my Christmas décor, lol.

Throughout our busy days as moms, it can be tough to go to the bathroom by ourselves, let alone give thanks for what God has blessed us with. But, I find myself in a bad head and heart space when I start taking all my blessings for granted. I can feel and see a huge difference in how I go about my day if I stop acknowledging all the things God has placed in my life. Sometimes, I even start considering them a burden. I will use my home as an example. I love my home! I mean, that’s why we chose it. But, there are times when I start wishing I had a different house, with different features. That’s not to say that I don’t have dreams of the future when we can build a forever home on our own land. But, when I allow my heart to not be content with what I do have NOW, it messes with my perspective, and that leads to me taking my home for granted.

I believe as Christians, we are to live our lives in a constant attitude of Thanksgiving! For we know that God will supply all our needs, so we need not be anxious or worry about anything. I guess that’s why the bible mentions giving thanks 114 times in various ways! There are so many precious gifts and promises God has given us! The gift of salvation tops the list for me! But, when you think about what some countries have, it really makes our first world probs seem so dim, doesn’t it? In my life, RIGHT NOW, I am thankful for my husband, my children, my family, my church, my friends, my health, my home, food, clothes…..etc. What are you thankful for? I would encourage you to give a shout of praise to the supplier of EVERY GOOD THING for what He has supplied you with! When we begin to thank Him for even the smallest blessing, it opens the floodgates for Him do something even greater. I am going to chose that today, instead of complaining. Because, we all know complaining bring snakes. And, I am NOT a snake lover, haha!

So, whether it’s God providing you with your dream house, or Him providing you with food to feed your family until payday, IT IS A BLESSING that God has supplied you with because He loves you! And that is also something to be thankful for! Amen?!

Now, onto the décor part of this blog! If there are any men reading this, your eyes may start to glaze over and read in auto pilot, lol jk. I LOVE to decorate! And, this year is actually the first year I have ever done seasonal decorations, besides Christmas, of course. So, I am super excited to share what I got for our home! I only decorated the front room, dining room, and front porch. I was going for minimal as to not overload the space. I have a light blue color scheme in my living room, so I wasn’t sure about going with traditional fall colors. But, I think it turned out nicely.

For our porch, the pumpkin door hanger is from Walmart, and the rug is as well. The floral arrangement is from a wonderful friend at church! And the pumpkins were from our Apple Annie’s pumpkin patch field trip last week:) Moving onto the entry way, I just have a few things on the little table there. The wooden crate box has an arrangement of random fall leaves and gourds. The tree lights up and looks so pretty at night! Another cool thing about the tree is it came with white winter leaves as well that you can switch out for Christmas! The small wooden sign came in a 3 pack and the other 2 are on the tv stand.

I just went with a light up garland across the top of the stand. As well as a large wooden ‘Give Thanks’ sign and pretty pumpkin down below. The pumpkin is from Dollar Tree. On the couch, I just have one pillow, and that’s from 99 Cent Only Store. On the table, I just put some more of the random fall foliage and candle in an iron basket that I already had. The candle, I also got at Dollar Tree. And lastly, for the china cabinet, I went super minimal with another light up garland and a couple gourds! And “voila!”

I pray today’s blog encouraged you to give thanks for all you have. I also hope you enjoyed the décor! Thanksgiving is such an awesome time to pause, smell the pumpkin spice EVERYTHING, and be grateful while enjoying some amazing food and fellowship with family and friends! I pray each and every one of you have a blessed holiday celebrating together! Until next time, Beloved….

BE BLESSED!!!
