Continuing on with Faith, love, hope theme, I wanted to touch on faith today. And Friday’s blog will be about none other than hope. What is faith? The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 that NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things not seen.
My husband and I are believing for something HUGE, like TODAY! So, it is only fitting for us to really press into this scripture. What really stood out to me this morning during my study on faith was how the verse starts off by saying NOW FAITH IS. In my spirit, I heard faith is for right now, and always. And that whenever we hope for something, faith is the substance of it. A substance is something tangible, something you can see, hear, or touch; it’s real, here in the natural realm! It is also the evidence (or proof) of things not seen.
That is amazing if you stop and consider what that means! So, if we have faith that something will happen, or we will receive something we have hoped for, NOW IT IS! It becomes a reality, instead of some unreachable, invisible prayer floating in the sky. We can actually pull it down from Heaven and cause our faith to produce the evidence!
Jesus himself tells us that if we ask ANYTHING in His name and do not doubt, but believe (have faith) that we already received it, we will have it! What an encouragement, what a PROMISE!
Is there something you are hoping for today? I encourage you to ask in Jesus name, believe you have received it, and watch your faith be activated. YOU WILL see the substance of what you hoped for, and the evidence of what you didn’t see before. The Bible says it, and the Bible don’t lie! We can trust what the Word of God says, AMEN?!
