Good morning, Beloved! I wanted to take a moment to share Psalm 136 with you! I have read it before, and loved it. But yesterday as I read it again, it jumped off the page (well phone screen, to be exact) in a new way! The chapter begins AND ends with “give thanks”, and every single verse ends in “His faithful love endures forever!” All 26 verses end the exact same way, driving home the fact that God’s love is faithful, it lasts forever, it never quits and it never fails! The beginning of every verse describes an action God took to demonstrate His love for us. It is powerful to me because this 136th Psalm tells me that EVERYTHING God has ever done, and ever will do is all because “His faithful love endures forever.” So, please enjoy this beautiful Psalm, and as we do, let’s reflect on how much God loves us! He led Israel safely through, His faithful love endures forever. but he hurled Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who led his people through the wilderness. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to him who struck down mighty kings. His faithful love endures forever. He killed powerful kings— His faithful love endures forever. Sihon king of the Amorites, His faithful love endures forever. and Og king of Bashan. His faithful love endures forever. God gave the land of these kings as an inheritance— His faithful love endures forever. a special possession to his servant Israel. His faithful love endures forever. He remembered us in our weakness. His faithful love endures forever. He saved us from our enemies. His faithful love endures forever. He gives food to every living thing. His faithful love endures forever. Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever.
